May Crowning 2022
On Friday, May 13, the Memorial of Our Lady of Fatima, the Regina Pacis Academy community celebrated its Annual May Crowning. The festivities began with a festive luncheon enjoyed by students, faculty, and family members alike. The celebration continued with the crowning of the statue of Our Lady by Gianna Piacente assisted by Michael Quatela, two of this year’s First Communicants. A Rosary Procession through the school parking lot followed, as the RPA community prayed the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary, following behind the ministers and the statue of Our Lady, adorned with beautiful roses and carried high by four of our strong Grade 8 young men. The procession concluded in St. Mary’s Church, as the RPA community chanted the Litany of Loreto and placed flowers before Our Lady’s statue. Rev. Michael Clark, Rector of the Diocese of Bridgeport’s Guild of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, then celebrated a Votive Mass of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in the usus antiquior. All in all, it was a most beautiful afternoon in May as we honored Our Lady on Her feast day!
